It doesn’t get any more plain than this: Only 26 percent of Americans support the job that George W. Bush is doing as President of the United States. Only 36 percent supports the escalation of the Iraq War that Bush will announce tonight.
George W. Bush is wrong, wrong, wrong, and every American who has an ounce of sense in their heads. George W. Bush has no popular authority with which to work as President of the United States. He is accused of several grave crimes against American and international law. Everything that George W. Bush could have possibly failed at, he has failed at.
It is time for George W. Bush to resign, and for Vice President Dick Cheney to join him.
Let the 3rd person in the line of succession to the Presidency, Speaker of the House Condoleeza Rice, take over as President of the United States for the next two years. Let her choose a bipartisan cabinet including Republicans like Lincoln Chafee and Arlen Specter and Democrats who had the sense to vote against the Iraq War in the first place.
Your time is up, President Bush. Now, please, walk away before anybody else gets hurt.
