Another Illegal Search and Seizure from Bush

Filed under: Domestic Crimes,General Articles — warden @ 11:21 am

If you don’t think George W. Bush has committed any impeachable crimes, check out this article from the Washington Post.

The U.S. government is collecting electronic records on the travel habits of millions of Americans who fly, drive or take cruises abroad, retaining data on the persons with whom they travel or plan to stay, the personal items they carry during their journeys, and even the books that travelers have carried, according to documents obtained by a group of civil liberties advocates and statements by government officials.

The personal travel records are meant to be stored for as long as 15 years, as part of the Department of Homeland Security’s effort to assess the security threat posed by all travelers entering the country…

Activists alleged that the data collection effort, as carried out now, violates the Privacy Act, which bars the gathering of data related to Americans’ exercise of their First Amendment rights, such as their choice of reading material or persons with whom to associate. They also expressed concern that such personal data could one day be used to impede their right to travel.

“The federal government is trying to build a surveillance society,” said John Gilmore, a civil liberties activist in San Francisco whose records were requested by the Identity Project, an ad-hoc group of privacy advocates in California and Alaska. The government, he said, “may be doing it with the best or worst of intentions. . . . But the job of building a surveillance database and populating it with information about us is happening largely without our awareness and without our consent.”

This is not how life is supposed to be in the United States of America. The Bill of Rights guarantees us protection from unreasonable search and seizure of our persons and papers… and papers would include our books! What right do they have to follow us as we travel, keeping notes on who we visit, and who we talk to, and what books we read?

This Homeland Security nonsense has gone too far! I don’t live in the stinking Homeland. I live in the USA, and in the USA, we still have a Constitution.

Call off those Homeland Security spies, Bush, or resign, or be impeached.

Bush Got Offer of Surrender From Hussein!

Filed under: General Articles,War Crimes — warden @ 9:19 am

The latest news of criminal behavior by George W. Bush:

In 2003, at least a month before starting the war in Iraq, President George W. Bush got a message from Saddam Hussein in which Hussein offered to step down from power and go into exile.

George W. Bush refused the offer of peace!

Furthermore, Bush kept the offer secret from the American people. In a transcript of Bush talking with the Spanish Prime Minister, Bush admits getting the offer, but says that he plans to invade Iraq no matter what offers are made.

That’s proof that Bush planned to start his war regardless of whether the war was necessary. Bush didn’t just lie about weapons of mass destruction. Bush didn’t just lie about a false international threat from Iraq. Bush didn’t just lie about a link between Al Quaida and Iraq. Bush lied about the need to go to war to deal with any of those false threats.

Bush told us all that Saddam Hussein was refusing to back down, when in fact, Bush knew very well that Hussein had already offered to back down!

The war was absolutely unnecessary, and America has been crippled as a result of Bush’s lust for war, insisting on going to war despite all lack of need.

Bush withheld this information from Congress and the American people because he knew that if we knew that Hussein was offering to resign and leave Iraq, no one would support going to war.

You, the person reading this article – How much more of this are you going to take? How many more lies and crimes from the President of the United States will you accept without doing anything about it? What will it take for you to finally make a stand?

No statute of limitations on Bush war crimes

Filed under: General Articles,In the Media — warden @ 11:33 am

I took a look at the blog chart on impeachment kept here on the Imprison Bush site. The results are depressing. Blog entries that reference the impeachment of George W. Bush have dwindled.

Here’s the thing that’s important to remember: There is no statute of limitations on the war crimes that George W. Bush has committed.

If we allow ourselves to become exhausted, Bush will get away with his crimes:
- starting the Iraq War with deceptions
- torturing prisoners
- taking away habeas corpus
- spying on massive numbers of American citizens without any search warrant.

To allow a President of the United States to get away with these crimes without any consequences at all is to send a message to future presidents that they will be allowed to rule above the law as well. We must not permit that to take place.

I say it once again, and I will say it until it takes place:

Impeach Bush!
Imprison Bush!

Congress Condemns MoveOn, Won’t Impeach Bush?!?

Filed under: Congress and Impeachment,General Articles — warden @ 1:32 pm

The United States House of Representatives just voted, 341-79, to pass a resolution condemning MoveOn. Why?

Because MoveOn placed an advertisement in a newspaper.

George W. Bush has lied to start a war that has killed thousands of Americans and ruined the lives of many more, has organized programs of torture and other war crimes, has revoked habeas corpus, and has developed massive programs to spy on the private activities of American citizens without any search warrant.

Congress has done nothing about that. Nancy Pelosi has taken impeachment off the table. Congress won’t even pass a censure resolution to protest Bush’s crimes.

Put an advertisement in a newspaper, and Congress will take action. Commit war crimes, and Congress will sit back and do nothing.

Congress ought to be ashamed of itself.
